Cecil was a phenomenal talent, but he's not a Tiger in my book. Anyone who sells out LSU and his teammates for doing fricked up shite is a bitch. And you know DiNardo and his staff tried like hell to keep him in the program.

If you like reading, check out this article on the Diesel:
Heavy Freight
It's an article John Ed Bradley wrote in SI back in the late 90's.

I've read it before. I went to the same HS as the Deisel.
Too bad he couldn't keep his dick-skinners to himself.

You know he's kicking himself in the arse. Dude could be retired or on the tail end of his career with millions in the bank and a nice luxury home(hells yeah). Instead, he's been in the pen for almost a decade, has no money, and no college degree.

I wonder if he understands the magnitude of his frick-ups, even today.
Cecil was REALLY stupid.

I've wondered the same thing at times.

i was always a big Tony Moss fan, but only because we played Jr. High ball in Germany. i taught him how to run a hitch a go. --true story.

Nah, not Davey... It's either Hodson or Tittle...
Just cause Russell put up some numbers doesn't mean he's the best... He was bone headed and lazy... Look where he is now... If we are going off numbers in a season then Toefield would be the best RB

Tittle retired from the NFL almost 50 years ago so he just misses the last 25 years cut.

Nice list. I agree with most of it with some slight mods...
No way CC can be over KF. KF had an amazing career and had the SEC record for total yards when he graduated while CC played about 4 games.
Just a matter of opinion here but I would drop RR to #3. DF would definitely be #1 on my list.
HJ would not be in my top 5 but I agree with the rest.
DB should be #1.
I would rank the top 3 in the following order...EH, GN, MS.
MA doesn't belong on a list of best anything!
Nice list.
quote:
Runningback
1. Cecil Collins (1997-1997)
2. Kevin Faulk (1995-1998)
3. Harvey Williams (1986-1990)
4. Rondell Mealey (1996-1999)
5. LaBrandon Toefield (1999-2002)

3. Brian Kinchen (1984-1987)
4. Richard Dickson (2007-2009...)
5. Nickie Savoie (1993-1996)

3. Nacho Albergamo (1984-1987)
4. Ben Wilkerson (2001-2004)
5. Eric Andolsek (1984-1987)tie
5. Herman Johnson (2004-2008) tie
HJ would not be in my top 5 but I agree with the rest.

Place Kickers
1. Colt David (2005-2008)
2. David Browndyke (1986-1989)
3. Chris Jackson (2003-2006)
4. Andre LeFleur (1986-1989)
5. John Corbello (1999-2002)
DB should be #1.

2. Tommy Hodson (1986-1989)
3. Rohan Davey (1997-2001)
4. Matt Flynn (2003-2007)
5. Herb Tyler (1995-1998)
Hodson #1 easily. Mauck over Tyler justified by a National Championship.
Runningback
1. Cecil Collins (1997-1997)
2. Kevin Faulk (1995-1998)
3. Harvey Williams (1986-1990)
4. Rondell Mealey (1996-1999)
5. LaBrandon Toefield (1999-2002)
Hester has to be in there over "The Criminal" based on productivity and the ability to not tax the criminal justice system.
Offensive Linemen
1. Alan Faneca (1995-1997)
2. Kevin Mawae (1990-1993)
3. Nacho Albergamo (1984-1987)
4. Ben Wilkerson (2001-2004)
5. Eric Andolsek (1984-1987)tie
5. Herman Johnson (2004-2008) tie
Andrew Whitworth in over Johnson.
Defensive Tackles/Nose Tackles
1. Glenn Dorsey (2004-2007)
2. Chad Lavalais (2000-2003)
3. Henry Thomas (1983-1986)
4. Anthony McFarland (1995-1998)
5. Claude Wroten (2004-2005) *list him 0.5 mm of a notch above Kyle Wiliams
Wroten listed 0.5 lbs of a kilo above Williams. Nope. Kyle makes the list.
Safeties
1. Greg Jackson (1985-1988)
2. LaRon Landry (2003-2006)
3. Chris Carrier (1983-1987)
4. Craig Steltz (2004-2007)
5. Anthony Marshall (1991-1994)
I'd add the guy that caught the Bluegrass Miracle (In Hawthorne's world) based on being the glue that made Saban's secondary finally gel and become productive.

Fullbacks
1.Tommy Banks
2.Kevin Steltz
3.Quinn Johnson
4.Jacob Hester (Before moving to RB)

My only real disagreement is RB. I think Kevin Faulk should be number one.
Cecil Collins was a man among boys but he played such a brief time that I don't think he should be considered for any "all-time" honors.

Where is Dalton Hilliard ? Cecil Collins but not Hilliard ? Your list sucks.
