My vote is Mizzou.

It must be a painful awakening to realize that you really don't matter. Even more so when you are told as much by the club you wanted to join AND the club of which you are currently a member. Moreover, they were told so in humiliating fashion, in front of their peers and the world. To top it off, Nebraska called them out and bitchslapped them with a parting shot in a ruthless press conference.

They went from acting like a power player to being a grovelling, broken spirit in about a week.

Kansas got put in their place too. The Pac10 was even thinking of adding Utah over them (when the whole 16 thing was going down).

Boise St is a pretty big loser though. They made a parallel jump now that Utah is leaving. The MWC was in prime position to start pressuring for a BCS bid, but now its back to the drawing board.

Mizzou never had a Big Ten invite and never had a meeting as far as anyone knows. They just said they would listen. Most of the Mizzou stuff is just framing by Texas and Nebraska.

The big loser is the Mountain West. Good luck getting a BCS bid now.

The MWC is a better conference than the WAC - even without Utah.

The Mountain West is no better or worse off than they were before. The damage to them is minimal, considering they were never really a big player to begin with.

Mizzou definitely had many discussions with the Big Ten...they pursued the conference relentlessly from the beginning when the Big Ten expressed an interest in talking with them. When the Big 12 Commish asked Mizzou for public commitment to the conference not only did Mizzou decline but they held a presser where they said they were having active discussions with joining the Big Ten.

When the Big Ten got what they wanted, a bigger fish in Nebraska, they stopped taking Mizzou's calls. Mizzou then went crawling back on their hands and knees to a conference that they were ignoring and jerking around just a couple of weeks ago.

Mizzou was never a blip on UT's radar. Nebraska just gave them a shove in the back on the way out the door just to be cruel. The best part was when the Nebraska Prez & AD called out Mizzou by quoting comments made by the Mizzou Prez, AD, & Governor just a couple of weeks ago. The Mizzou Prez responded yesterday by saying they were just looking out for the school's best interests and called Nebraska's presser a "silly and ridiculous display."

In the amount of hubris served up from all of this expansion stuff, Mizzou took home a much larger portion than the Mountain West.

From a PR standpoint, Texas.

No, that's not what happened. The Mizzou presser stated that they would listen to the Big Ten and would obviously be interested, but there was not a report of actual negotiations, and Mizzou DID publicly commit to the Big 12, despite whining about the inequity. Other people kept planting Mizzou's name, and they didn't exaclty give the best denials in the world, but there was nothing along the lines of the negotiations reported Texas was having in February.

And the MWC is much worse off. They were about to become a BCS conference under the formula, then they were about to see themselves pick off some major schools to further solidify that bid... and now they are losing Utah and any real chance of getting that BCS bid.

Mizzou or Boise St. Sure Boise got to a better conference, but with Utah leaving and TCU at risk, there is no way that conference gets the BCS bid they were hopeful for.

Oklahoma is the biggest loser in this thing. How badly does it suck to be a top five program and be completely under the thumb of another school?

It could be aTm if tech leaves for the Pac10.

its their own fault. they keep acting like their bitch so they treated like their bitch. its like a guy who beats the shite out of his girlfriend. at first, you feel bad for her, but when she keeps crawling back everytime, maybe some blame goes on her, too.

TCU not at risk. Not going anywhere.

Not sure about the biggest loser, but Nebraska is the biggest winner.

The biggest loser is the PAC 10--because now with no Texas and OU, and with them adding Colorado, the conference is even worse than it was before(as if that were even possible).

But you can bet your bottom dollar that USC is pleased as punch--because they will continue to dominate that joke of a conference forever and a day.

Even on probation, I bet they win the conference.
