Putting this out there to think about?

Looks like the Dallas stuff about Arkansas calling the Big 12 was a leak to gauge our interest in actually going to the Big 12. I like the SEC and love to travel to SEC games since I have friends that live in Florida but how many here would think it would be a good idea to have Arkansas in the Big 12? I do not think it would happen but it does make for great natural geographical rivals and our best days were when we recruited Texas well.
Not saying we can not have success in the SEC since we have been to 3 SECC games. However, as every one likes to point out the National Champions have been the teams with the most 5 star players and that certainly is not Arkansas who has to do more with less each and every season.
No flaming attempts at LSU or Auburn fans who say we should be there any way but really wanting to gauge what the interest is?

are you really interested in joining a conference run by Texas?

I like Arkansas in the SEC, but assuming it made sense for Arkansas to leave, why would you go to a conference likely to implode in a few years?

I like having ARky in the SEC.

So wait, they basically lied about you to see if you would go along with it? And now you might be interested?
You sound like a perfect new girlfriend for UT. shite, you don't even need the talking points memo from Deloss Dodds, just a little rumor and you fall in line.
Please.
Go.

I do think armed with Walton, JB Hunt, Tyson, etc.. money, that Ark could just as well challenge UT, along with OU, if back in the same conference. You have the campus, facilities, and education, to attract plenty of the same great Tejas talent that OU recruits so well.
It is why OU, more so than Texas school ATM, actually has to stay at UT's side, wherever they roam, as the Red River game and Tejas recruiting are their lifeblood.
Ark, like OU still going strong, with Tenn and Neb's slide from grace, are sparsely talented states that must import the lionshare of elite talent and depth needed for top-tier competition.
I have nothing against Arky, and appreciate their contributions to SEC Hoops in the 1990s, but I do think the school and fanbase, would be better served in their old company vs those old rivals.
Ark in recruiting, does no better as an SEC school within SEC states, than getting unchosen leftovers. Meanwhile, I think if in the B-12, Ark could challenge OU and ATM for those that UT passes over, meeting and/or exceeding what LSU, Bama, and other poachers land there.
Besting Fla, Bama, LSU, UGa in Foots, or besting Fla, Ky, Tenn, LSU, etc..in Hoops, or the whole bunch in Bases, is much harder for Ark in the SEC, than it would be in the Big-12. There, UT and OU Foots, KU and UT Hoops, UT in Bases..much more wiggle-room over there.

In a New York second.
PS... I hate that War Memorial Stadium. It's a slap in the face to all things that memorialize wars. That place sucks. You should stop playing there.

Sorry, can't do that. Corndogs aren't allowed in Donald W. Reynold's Razorback Stadium.
