Texas: 5 starters returning from 2009 National Runners-Up Lineup, 4 returning starting pitchers, 1 converted to arguably nation's top closer. five players drafted in first 7 rounds. season ends at home in Super Regional

LSU.....Texas was a great team that ran into a better team. LSU was a good team that would've ran into alot of better teams even if they made it out of a regional.

Texas, tho the committee did neither team any favors

LSU, defending national champs and finish #8 in the conference. Don't even make the finals of the sub-regional.

I'd have to go with UT...mainly because they lost at home and their pitching was unreal.

LSU definently. Texas was ranked number 1 throught the year. Just happened to run into some good pitching this weekend. Nonetheless both had dissapointing years.

Texas was more disappointing.
LSU met expectations of what knowledgeable LSU baseball fans thought heading into this season. Anything past making a regional would have been lagniappe this year.

Most knowledgeable LSU baseball fans predicted LSU to finish higher than 8 in the conference.

I think most of our fans expected us to at the least host a regional, and alot expected to at least make it to Omaha.

I agree

not making it to Omaha with Chance Ruffin, Cole Green, Brandon Workman, and Taylor Junggeman has to be quite a tough pill for Longhorn fans to swallow

Texas
Yes it was disappointing end for Texas...but they didn't squeeze into their conference tourney unranked and finish 3rd in a regional. I don't see how you could say Texas had a more disappointing season, at least they were relevant.

And here's the thread predicting regular season record, which ended up being 36-20.
that was your prediction, which is like the lowest of all the predictions in that thread, most people assumed over 40 reg season wins

Have they called for Augie's head yet?

Congrats LSU on the prediction...I guess. But no way that was the common school of thought 36 wins was definitely the lower outlier in the prediction game.
