FWIW, I completely agree with you. But I just can't see them leaving behind Duke and NC State.

No WAY would UNC ever leave ACC. Never. What you gotta understand is this:

1) UNC is a charter ACC school- one of the original seven schools. They've been in the ACC since 1953. They're not about to forgo almost 60 years of tradition.

2) UNC is a basketball school. Their football team comes and goes, but basketball is king in a way that football is the way of life on Friday nights in the Deep South. They're not giving up Duke-UNC conference games for anything.

As great as the SEC is, you guys need to understand that not everybody wants to join. Its pretty arrogant to think you can just pluck any team in the country and they'll come running with a hard-on to join.

I like Va Tech in the east. Good school and would open another market for the SEC and much better in FB than UNC
