LSU fans scared of Texas?

Most (99%?) LSU fans do not want UT(West) to join the SEC.
Pourquoi? Why?
(What are the real reasons?...not the "their fans are bad" excuses...)
LSU vs. UT (West) All-time Series
I figured that these positives outweigh LSU fans' fears:
1. Austin
2. Extra lady-parts
3. Relatively prestigious program
4. $

Eh, I'd rather have AM because it wouldn't hurt our recruiting. UT coming would. Not scared though, just don't want them in. They seem to be a plague on any conference they join. They come in and try to run the show. I don't want that.

Longhorn fans are the worst fans in all of sports. I love the program and the school.
If it were not for the fans, I would be in favor of UTA in the SEC.

Texas has been responsible for killing two conferences. I would like the SEC to exist in 20 years. No thanks.
They aren't worth the headache. We already have lots of good teams. We don't have to give away the store to get another.

Bottom line is, Texas isn't a team player and never will be.
After watching Texas destroy not one, but two conferences with their greed and arrogance, it's obvious to anyone with a brain that Texas is too bitter a pill for any conference to swallow.

Exactly. Let them kill the Pac-Teen (and revive the Pac 10) with their greedy, controlling ways.

I'll call it now. If the Pac-16 forms as rumored, it will not exist in a 16 team format in 20 years. That conference is way too unwieldy to work.

The question should be...why are the Horns afraid of the SEC? The PAC 10 HAD 1 legitimate program in USC and now with their sanctions there are none. Hope you guys enjoy the conference of fruits and nuts. This reply is only a look at football since that was your reference.

The only negative to bringing in UT is that I couldn't hate Bama more than anybody else anymore. Plus a trip or two to Austin.... I'll take it, and we'll beat your sorry asses. No more titles for you. You won't make it out of your own division.

It doesn't matter if LSU fans want Texas or not, they will not join the SEC even if they were formally offered. Texas A&M on the other hand, will probably join.

Sec defenses week in and week out would decimate ut. Brown wants the PAC 10 becuse his inability to build defenses won't matter.

Bingo. UT is going to be the tail that wags the dog in the new PAC10. Don't think the conference isn't making promises to Texas without granting huge concessions. Texas isn't going there, cheap, Texas isn't going there without some authority over what happens in that conference from now on.

If Texas comes to the SEC then Alabama would need to be moved to the eastern division b/c a schedule of Texas, Florida, and Alabama every year isn't fair AT ALL.
