...read this article and tell me it won't be fun to watch (while it lasts).

I predict the PAC-whatever conference sessions will be slapped by OSHA for repeated hubris pollution violations.

It'll be fine for the first few years becuase USCw is screwed out of competing from a NC perspective.

It'll be fun to see how things shake out in 7-10 years when they are coming out of the penalties.

from the article:

quote:

“As I read the decision by the NCAA, all I could get out of all of this was … I read between the lines and there was nothing but a lot of envy, and they wish they all were Trojans,” Garrett said to cheers Thursday night at the San Francisco Airport Marriott.

quote:

Declaring that “we can still split a national championship if we win all our games,” Kiffin

quote:

“Regardless of what happens in that appeal, we know this: SC is more powerful than anything else,” Kiffin said. “The university, the football program, the basketball program -- no matter what they try to do to us, it won’t matter.”

quote:

The crowd gave Garrett a standing ovation and also applauded and cheered when he mentioned the school would appeal the NCAA ruling. “We’re fighters,” Garrett said. “As I told my staff, I said, ‘You know, I feel invigorated by all this stuff.’”

quote:

“We can’t control people 24 hours a day,” O’Neill said. “That’s all there is to it. You cannot control people from the outside. You cannot control agents. You cannot control runners. Those kinds of things get away from you sometimes because you have no way of knowing.

quote:

“Imagine if you have 120 of them to control,” he said. “And imagine if you also have responsibility for every parent and every family member they have. It’s a pretty difficult situation.” Kiffin

These guys have no fricking clue - how did one of the best programs in the country find itself with these two jokers in charge?

This conference is beginning to look like a coalition more than a real conference. Rumors of no CCG, two BCS berths (one to each division) and playing within the division more than cross division sounds more loose than the SEC or former B12.

well, Garrett is still employed by U$C. He should be long gone. That right there tells you about every other decision maker at U$C -- they share the same opinion of themselves.

Why doesent USC see like the rest of DIV1 that the BCS not The AP crown the national champion. The AP crown these days means nothing. It a group of writers picking there champ. It would be the same thing if TD.com crowned a national champ every year and mailed that team a trophy. I realise that at one time they were the crowing force but not any longer.

he was heartened to learn 56 of his players appeared this morning for a voluntary 7 a.m. workout.

Its going to be a sad day for these koolaid drinkers when the NCAA upholds there ruling and they are stuck at USUCK. I guess they are still feeling immortal becaue they go to u$C
