If this happens i will be very dissappointed. I am starting to hear a change in the airwaves that about whats going on. Reporters and reports are starting to less confidence that the Big 12 is dead. Just keep watching. i am starting to wonder if Nebraska will even make a move. I think they do and that finishes out the Big 10. Colorado finished out the PAC and then the Boise st move rounded out the MWC.

When they annouce I will get back interested.

Nebraska is gone. Although I don't know why there is a sentiment that if Nebraska goes, the Big 12 is done. IMHO, the Big 12 could add BYU and Utah to replace Colorado and Nebraska and keep on going. The Salt Lake City TV market is bigger than San Antonio, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, St. Louis and Kansas City. Nothing to sneeze at.

Neb isn't official

Pac10 isn't done ... they're only at 11. They need one more for a conf title game.

Not official yet, but I have seen nothing that points to even a fragment of a doubt that it will happen.

Yeah I havent read anything but its been awefully quiet about NEbraska today. More question marks are popping up and listening to the radio they are more questioning that saying its going to happen.

Over th past 24 hours the tone has really turned a 180.

That would be awesome if they told the Big 10 to F off. Make them settle for a Syracuse or Kansas.

actually, this is exactly what I'd like to see. i don't like what's happening to CFB. i'd like to see every conference have 12 teams and a playoff but no superconferences. i like the regions being represented by conferences. I like tradition. I'm an old fart. CFB is the greatest--don't try and fix it. There's more than enough money in this sport now w/o the need to add TV markets. just me

Texas basically said that Nebraska leaving would be the tipping point that would make them look elsewhere and implied the Pac Ten deal was a certainty.

than the sec is now? shite...you must not have lived through Curly. We beat the crap out of each other every year, the dog on top is constantly changing, road games are w/in driving distance (for the most part) and i like it like it is, w/ the SEC the acknowledged best in CFB.

Sec is ultra competitive. Thast why a one loss SEC school will play for the national title before a one loss texas, USC or Ohio State.

Easy fix for Big 12. Move OU to the north add Utah to the north and add TCU to the south.

Or maybe the Big 12 goes on the offense and invites LSU and Arky to join.

Nebraska's board of regents are meeting in closed session as I type this. And they won't move OU to the North. That means that Texas and OU would have to face each other twice in the same year.

Becuase in the case with Auburn. They come in Ranked number 16 and never gets a chance to compete for the title. That was the best team in the nation. That USC team beat the dog shite out Oklahoma and both of those teams were undefeated due to lack of competition. OK state wasnt that good back then neither was nebraska kansas or Mizzou. Oklahoma beat a Texas team and not much else.

So I get tired of USC getting an automatci bid to the BCS for lack of comp. They have to lose a game to a oregan state or Fresno or UCLA, te prevent this. The big 10 needs a champioship game as well sam ething

the SEC has since won NCs galore. we have the upper hand. there will always be a team whose individual ranking is low enough that IF there are two more teams starting out higher ranked, they lose out on a NC game. you don't make wholesale changes for something that happens once in a blue moon. And who's to say that the same Auburn scenario wouldn't happen w/ superconferences--say Auburn comes out of the blue to win the SEC but Ohio St and Tx were ranked in the top five preseason.

too big of a fix for too small of a problem, imo

Agree.

Super-conferences will elevate the top 30 or 40 teams - and it will kill the rest. College football will become just like the NFL.
