We do. That's the beauty of it.

Hence there being a whole board to talk about it. Or else this place would implode.

June 10, 2010 Swofford announces plan to offer Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Auburn GREENSBORO, N.C. – At a press conference planned to talk about the league's record 64 picks in the MLB Baseball draft, ACC commissioner John Swofford announced his plans to expand the Atlantic Coast Conference to 16 teams. Swofford confirmed their intentions to offer four SEC schools tomorrow but would not comment on which schools would be included. A source close to the league says Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Auburn would be the four and more importantly, look for them to show interest as the schools wish to expand their basketball footprint.

Texas holds all the cards. When they make their move, the chips will fall. Until they do, rumors will abound.

Things have gone silent in the wee hours of the afternoon.
A decision has been made to be broadcast bombshell-style in the a.m. but it will be one that we all sensed from the start.
Texas, TT, aTm, OU, OSU all will join CU in the pac-16.
All the rumors, etc. is good for negotiations, but in the end all of what's left of the dysfunctional family will stay together and it's not even that big a deal schedule-wise for the likes of Texas. Other sports will have workarounds, play mostly within divisions to ease travel issues.
And Baylor gets cut loose with basically the payout of having UT and aTm each sign a multi-year home & home series with the Bears. Those are the only games that stadium is near capacity.

TejasHOrn, I think your are right on this prediction.
This would make it only logical for the SEC to take two ACC teams. I would like FSU and Va tech

I think you are right- they are the most important cog, & whatever they decide will bring OK & A&M along for the ride...

I thought it was interesting that the PAC 10 offered CU the invitation first. They thumbed their noses at the Texas legislature that had been making noises about keeping Baylor in the mix. I suppose Baylor can still make the cut if OSU is left in the cold but I hope not.
