Not bad use of a 50th round pick. Chad could blow out a knee that would end his football career and Milwaukee retains the rights to a guy with a healthy left arm that can throw in the mid 90's.

He is saying without a contract. Jones could be a baseball free agent after this draft if football didn't work out for some reason. Now the Brewers own baseball rights to him until the next draft.

The MLB draft is so rediculous.

Exactly. Milwaukee retains his rights until a week before the next draft. No team is allowed to sign draft eligible players the week before the draft. Milwaukee could not draft him again without his consent.

You know how many minor league teams they have to fill???? I'm surprised it's not a hundred rounds.

CJ could be a quality setup man or closer in a couple of seasons. I can't recall what the radar gun had him at.

By the end of the draft, they are such fringe prospects that people will literally say no, I'd rather be a high school janitor and shite. I think Kenny Williams drafted his own kids in the later rounds.
