I hope so......this is complete BS, and will do nothing but further devastating our region. BP ignored so many warning signs, why not shut them down for 6 months and let the rest of the folks in the gulf continue about their business. Punish the guilty party.........but I'm not suprised at all hopey mcchange doesn't do the right thing in this situation.

Does anyone else think like me in that we have all of the rules and regulations in place that we need right now, but just need these rules and regulations to be enforced? Of course that would take a functioning gov. entity to do this as well as the balls by said gov. to fine the fck out of a company like BP when they are caught cutting corners, etc.
