Based on what I have read and gathered from past years Eades and Jones will most likely be at LSU, probably 80-85% sure of that. Gausman is maybe 60-40 on coming here. He's going to play summer league ball and if he really excels and gets the money he wants he'll go. If he struggles some he wont get his asking price and will end up here. We'll be waiting til August for him.

Not me.

I'm taking the Norman Dale approach to baseball this coming season. PM is going to put 35 players out there, and that is MY team. Not going to cry or whine over players that MIGHT have been here, just support the players that WANT to be here.

That's an awesome attitude, and at the same time, is really boring and not worth posting.

Honestly, it feels like a no win situation with Gausman, if he doesn't look good during the summer and doesn't get paid, doesn't sound too good for when he gets here. But if he is effective, he's going to get paid.

Read some comments from Gausman yesterday. He's hoping that MLB will show him the money. Certainly can't blame him there. One of his comments was, "If I mess up (with regards to impressing his team enough to give him his asking price), then I go to LSU. That's a win-win situation."

So, he's definitely not leaning towards coming to LSU. Unlike Zach Lee, who probably is.

This is a jackass statement. Why criticize our recruits who have a chance to sign for millions. Doesn't mean that they wouldn't want to play for LSU. Offer several million to the 35 who make the 2011 roster and see how many "want" to be there.

What pitches can Eades throw for strikes outside of his fastball.

Eades hasn't pitched in over a year, so it's tough to say what he's going to do when he is able to start throwing again.

i think Gausman's injury plus the McCourt's pinch on the purse strings plays well for LSU

as much as I like the Dodgers, they are an ownership mess right now

Gausman is one of the few players that could really benefit by coming to college and getting healthy. he's sandwich pick talent.

Jones is 100% LSU. He is supposedly already qualified, and is looking forward to playing for the Tigers.

Gausman and Lee's fates may be tied together. The Dodgers may be willing to stretch a bit on Gausman if they can't sign Lee for a reasonable amount.

that's the key. the dodgers like to pay slot. gausman believes that his injuries caused his draft stock to go down. a lot depends on how much better he thinks he is as compared to his draft position. i dont see the dodgers giving 3rd round slot to gausman.
