I'll echo this.

Last time I went, it was slow. I started bullshitting with the waitress a bit about food in general. Next thing I knew, the chef was at the table, introducing himself and asking if he could try some off-menu stuff for me. He made me a pretty tasty dish: beef tenderloin with a syrah and foie gras reduction served over risotto. It was very similar to though not at the level of the way Duke used to serve his filet at Cafe Giovanni a bit back. Good stuff.
