I have never been to regions park and could use some honest advice on where to sit...
Considerations.... sun and rain free?
Thanks in advance...

I think we are visitors tomorrow, thus third-base side

Dammit, why are we ALWAYS "visitors" against the Gumps in Hoover??? I know Hoover is close to Tuscaloser, but damn.
I guess it don't matter, we whacked Florida from the visitors side.

Top few rows on 3rd base side & behind home plate should be in the shade to start the game. Most all of those sections will be the shade by 3:00-3:30.

70% chance of thunderstorms tomorrow, so I doubt being in shade will be an issue, just sayin'.

Alabama is the higher seed.

That's correct, but that has zero to do with why they are the home team tomorrow.

Please enlighten me. Because it can't be because of the distance factor.

They are the home team because there will be more Gumps in the stands than members of the purple and gold nation. Tournament is WAY TOO CLOSE to Tuscaloser. Just sayin'.

Home team is determined by the number of times you've previously been home or visitor in the tourney. In this particular case, it's the same, so a coin toss was done to determine home team & Bama won that.

It's going to be "way too close" to any SEC city, regardless of where you move it. Any city capable of hosting the tournament, within the Southeast, is going to be fairly close to a SEC school. Memphis, Birmingham, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Jackson, New Orleans, Charleston, are all short drives to SEC cities.
And FWIW, I'm not so sure it has to do with ticket sales, as to who is the home/away team. Alabama has had way more fans than anyone at the tournament, but was the "away team" versus Auburn and Ole Miss.

I had no idea. I just assumed it was seeding, or it was rotational (to some degree).

I'm just giving my two cents on the location of the tournament. Not everyone is going to be please by a move.
