Official Thread for Will Clark and Big Ben as LSU Coaches

Just starting a thread since Clark (hitting coach)is living in P'Ville and has at least one child that loves LSU... Ben (pitching coach)giving up his sports caster job - not likely... Just think of recruiting kids if those 2 are your coaches... Miracles can happen...

Yeah, no thanks on Clark. He's a supernerdy dipstick. Hell, he might even be on the rant disguised as a closet LSU hater.

We need a hitting coach who can correct stances (Matt Gaudet pulling his head every swing), and someone to help calm us and work on our clutch hitting. Even last year, we had trouble scoring runners in scoring position.
This is just my personal opinion but I do think we need a new hitting coach and a WAY better pitching coach. However, Will Clark would not be my choice.

Russ Johnson and Big Ben are close friends and hunting buddies. I've always thought that coaches should be friends also. That might carry over because from what I hear, the chemistry on this team wasn't as stellar as it once was.

Went to school with Will Clark.
Dude was alright. But he was the "Big Man On Campus" and he acted as such--that's all. I liked him.
He was a good basketball player too. I remember him dunking on a more than one person when we used to play 21.

They made too much money in MLB to come toil at LSU and coach college kids. Will Clark could go to any major league team and get paid as a personal hitting coach. They don't want the hassle of a year round coaching job at State U.
Their hunting schedule would be screwed.

Pretty much what he's doing with the Giants now. I met him last year and he's done some business with me. Pretty cool guy and wasn't snobby to deal with.
