Referring only to the guys already playing in the NFL (so Patrick Peterson is ineligible).

Kevin Faulk is probably the guy to beat with his SB rings, versatility and overall contribution to New England but I think Early Doucet may be the best when its all done.

With Boldin gone and Early's breakout performance in the playoffs, I think he'll be the #2 WR in Arizona and will get plenty of catches.

Breaston will probably be #2 IMO. Early in the slot

I despise the Cowboys, but Bradie James is looking to have another outstanding year for them.

I don't know if Super Bowl rings should be the main measuring stick. If the Saints won again, Randall Gay would have three, but I wouldn't call him the most succesful.

As for SB rings:
Kevin Faulk has three SB rings
Jarvis Green has two SB rings
Randall Gay has two SB rings
Devery Henderson has one SB ring
Corey Webster has one SB ring
Joseph Addai has one SB ring
Eric Alexander has a SB ring
Ryan Clark has a SB ring

Alan Faneca has one SB ring, plus:
6× All-Pro selection
3× Second-team All-Pro
9× Pro Bowl selection
Super Bowl XL
NFL 2000s All-Decade Team

Kevin Mawae has no ring, but is a 8× Pro Bowl selection with 3× All-Pro selection and a member of the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team.

Dwayne Bowe may be the best "player" out there right now as he's a legit star WR. Problem is he is in Kansas City.

Bradie James is pretty damn good as well, but will never get the credit playing with D. Ware.

I think Breaston stays #2 with Early being the slot guy. I also think the offense takes a step backwards without Warner IMO.

Gotta be either Faneca or Mawae. Hard to see how it's close, and I love Kevin Faulk.

Faneca's resume is already almost unsurmountable as far as a player accomplishing individual goals for his position. Almost certainly a first ballot induction, if he played any other position (except maybe Center), and he may still get in first ballot.

As far as team goals, Faulk is the standard, but others are in striking range.

Money (don't laugh, to many it's the only standard of success that matters), Russell and Faneca have to be the tops right now.

I agree with this.

Faulk has had a nice career, but he has never been more than a "piece" in the NE system. A great piece no doubt, but his longevity is due to the fact that he is a situational player.

If Faulk had played for Cleveland, Oakland, or probably 2/3 of the NFL teams, we would not be talking about him at all.
