Wow.....glad all of the toxic waste that is being picked is being stored adjacent to the wetlands in an unprotected area in Venice.

From what they're saying the oil/dispersant soaked boom, in addition to other waste associated with this disaster.

Did I hear him right. BP does not have the proper permitting for it.
Seems like Ive seen it before. I wonder if they have been having it and just started to use it for the cleanup debris. What was in it before?

Garland Robinette 870 am on a serious rant. Very heated monologue.

Bureaucracy at its best. So why can't the feds speed up getting the permit?

The point is they (BP) should not have a permit at all. The toxic filled land fill should not exist....especially out side the levee protection area.
BP just did it.
One tropical storm and all that toxic waste could end up in the marshes

He is talking about the dead zone in the gulf. That is due to all of the human waste that goes into the Mississippi and then goes into the gulf.

Someone shoot a roman candle at it, that would take care of it pretty quick.

You mean like it has done evry day for the last 25 years??????
There is a landfill down there that should be plainly obvious to any that fish there. It is definitely outside the levees.
EPA/LDEQ permit such things.....BP has little to do with it.

I think you are missing the point. Never before has the landfill been used to dump toxins especially remnants of oil clean devices. Ie used absorbant boom. BP does not have a permit to use it for that but they are.

Don't you think they have enough on their plate without worrying about hypothetical hurricanes?
Crazy idea: If a hurricane forms, they can move the waste.
