Props and Prayers for Dandy Don

Here is for Props and Prayers for Dandy Don. For those of us that live out of state, his website is perfect. His site is my first read in the morning. Yes, I know, he summarizes news from various websites (Advocate, LSU Sports.Net, Tiger Rant, etc.) and sometimes he posts things with typo's and misstatements, but he always posts something - everyday, without fail. In my opinion, it is a great compilation about what is happening regarding LSU, in and around Louisiana.
It is amazing that he still takes the time to update his page, every day, without fail, even though we all know that he is struggling with his wife's illness and his own personal health situation. He is truly a great Tiger fan. He was around before the Tiger Rant (which is a great website) and his memories will be around forever.
Dandy Don - I salute you and I pray for you and your family. May God shine down his many Tiger Town blessings on you and your family and give you the peace to deal with all of your troubles.
Realize that life is a journey. Don’t sweat the small stuff and don’t get too overjoyed with your successes in life. Life is truly like a roller coaster – sometimes on the way up, it goes real slow. Sometimes on the way down, it goes way too fast and you spend all your time screaming and complaining. In the end, hopefully, you will be able to say it was a great ride.
Thanks Dandy Don for a great ride and I am looking forward to many more daily updates on your website. I appreciate your commitment to all true Tiger Fans and to LSU.

Ditto. Been reading his page way before TD. We all make mistakes.

Dandy Don is truly one of the all-time LSU fan greats. Plus LSU aside, he's a pretty great human being in general, from what I can figure out.

It doesn't matter. People on this site are still going to bash him b/c he writes the wrong info on occasion or b/c his inside sources are wrong sometimes.
My thing is this, he's 80 years old, loves LSU more than most people on the site, and probably spends most of his time sitting next to his dying wife when he's not writing his daily update. So what if he calls a person by the wrong name, so what if he writes the wrong info, so what if his sources end up being wrong!
Those that go to his site with the intentions of making fun of him, you're nothing but a P.O.S. To the low-lifes, stop reading his updates if all your going to do is bash him on Tigerdroppings or create your own website and NEVER make an ERROR!

Hats off to him. I wish there were more people out in the world like him. I will listen to his health suggestions and take that advice any day. I just tease him a little b/c of his intense optimism & predictions about the sports.

I would like to take a minute to encourage all you men and women in your late 40s and 50s to have your colon checked. It is easy and inexpensive, and it might just save you and your family many years of suffering. Earlier when I posted a message asking that you have your colon checked I received word that over 40 of you had yours checked including five in one family. Two did have early stages of cancer that was easily removed with no chemo treatments. Please do me a favor and get it done. I know that I will receive a few nasty emails today because of talking about these personal matters, but that is alright. This is my web page and I will talk about what I think is important and helpful to my readers.
