If anyone cares to watch, Letterman has an LSU professor on to discuss the oil spill

I agree. Our only other publicity for LSU has been Jamarcus Russell and the underuse of our talent on the FB team

Yes, we will always have Carville. I haven't seen him in awhile personally.

A lot of that stuff that guy has said has been pretty off the wall.

Overall, I am not in the place to go off criticizing a guy of his stature, but there's a reason he's on Letterman and it's

1) because he's from Louisiana
2) he's respected in his field.
3) he's guaranteed to report his worst case scenario and only that..

Just IMO.

Letterman should really not get into the news.

Well most publicity concerning Louisiana is negative anyways.

Between Carville and the oil spill, I'll take the oil spill.

Did anyone catch this? Summary?

I saw a clip on the news this morning and it sounded like he was basically saying the oil was a drop in a bucket compared to the volume of water in the gulf.

I'm sure it's on youtube, but it's blocked at work. It will be a horrible day when they block TD.

He said some shite he was clearly making up, and that was flat wrong. For example, he said there were 50,000-60,000 oil and gas wells in the Gulf. I'm pretty sure its less than 4,000. It sure as hell isn't 50,000. Other than the shite he said that was flat wrong, it was pretty generic shite about oil is going to be bad, but not sure how bad. Pretty shitty guest appearance, IMO.
