One Thing They Have Going For Them

Assuming they take care of business starting tonight, one thing this team has going for them is post-season experience. That counts for a lot in my opinion.
If they can build some momentum, I think we could see a nice little run before it is all said and done.

First regional will be easier competition than what they have been facing in the SEC
But when you can't put a complete game together against UNO and Tulane it does not bode well.

They've given up on PM. There isn't anything he hasn't already tried that is going to get them to play. He's lost this team. Hopefully he can do something different next yr.

We have 3 more games before the SEC Tourney. Baseball is a streaky sport. If we get hot, we can carry it into the post season.

Well obviously we can't find teams that had those exact numbers, but Arkansas went something like 4 for their last 17 at the end of last year before the SEC tourney, then went to Omaha

From 4/11/08 through 4/20/08, we were 2-5-1. Then we won 23 in a row.

The team has given up 127 runs in the last 15 games. That's almost 9 runs per game. Basically, you have to cut that down to 4 runs a game to be competitive from here on out. IF the team is able to do this, it would be a remarkable turnaround for our pitching staff. Remarkable.

Arkansas was horrible at the end of last regular season and made it to Omaha. Sourthern Miss barely made it to a regional last year and made it to Omaha. Stranger things have happened.
As originally stated, this team has post season experience. This team has had great postseason success.
I am not saying that they will turn it around. All signs headed into tonight point in another direction. However, if they have anything going for them at all, it is post season experience.

I guess Tulame did it. Didn't the guys they pitched against LSU have like a 12 and 13 era going into that game?
