“For the life of me, I can’t understand how a kid can’t field the ball cleanly when we’re playing on carpeting,” LSU coach Paul Mainieri said. “There was no bad bounce, nothing. It’s a double play and we fumble the ball.”

He's probably fielded hundreds of groundballs just like that

do you want PM to take the blame for a routine play screw up? Hopefully this lights a fire under delatte

sometimes, just sometimes the players actually have to execute well in order to win the game.

What was the context of this quote? If it was in reference to last night's game ... WTF? The final score was 9-1. I'm pretty sure one error didn't result in the Tigers stinking it up at the plate.
