Has anyone tried this place yet? It's supposed to be Turkish cuisine. Looks pretty good from the article.

Place is absurd. Went there for Mother's Day. One hour and 20 minutes for the entrees to come out. Most all of the appetizers are over $10.00, and very small portions. Doner platter (similar to gyros) was very cold and probably sitting out for a while. Apathetic attidtudes prevailed throughout the restaurant (staff, hostess and waiter).
3 out of 10 rating for me, IMHO.

Isn't that the worst or maybe 2nd worst day of the year to go to a restaurant?

Irrelevant. Let me tell you something...they had an article about this place in the Advocate. It doesn't matter what day it is. They need to step up to the plate and live up to the hype of the newspapr article. You're paying around $100.00 at lunch for 4 people, an unsatisfatory effort IMO across the board.

You dropped a bill at a Turkish restaurant?
I could probably get enough food to last a week or more at the Turkish place that I frequent here in Houston.
That's fricking absurd.

I've seen you on this board enough that you should know not to trust The Advocate reviews. They are notorious for giving undeservedly good reviews to advertisers.
