Not really. They aren't going to use their top pick on a high school SS two years in a row, especially considering both project to stay at SS and how weak the Astros farm system is in most other areas. It would be different if one was expected to move or if there was a draft or two between them.

I don't know...
I'll be very surprised if Machado falls that far. I definitely won't be surprised if the Astros snap him up, he's that good a hitter. You can always make room in the lineup for big-time hitters.

You can never have too many SS/CF, they can transition to other positions.

You draft best available period. If you end up with two big league guys at the same position, you trade one for other prospects or a piece you need to get in the playoffs. If you try to base your draft around what you may have now, you aren't going to do too well.
