I am getting calls from people all over the country looking for marine equipment to come help with the clean up. Kinda reminds me of the way it was after Katrina.

I think the ramifications of this event will be bigger than Katrina.

But the two situations are apple and oranges.

I agree with this. Katrina was a local disaster. This spill will have national impacts....not to take anything away for the diaster that Katrina was.

we won't be able to eat many shrimp for a little while. Some fisherman might be hurting for a couple of years. 11 people dead

katrina had 1836 people die
