I am at work, what are they saying?

Something happened last summer. Involved some kind of prescription drugs i think. There was a hidden camera. Loomis/Saints are being accused of covering up for someone on the staff. They didnt give the name

Have no clue how credible this is, but this could be bad for Loomis.
In the middle of a PR crisis for the league's players, the Commish would come down hard on a front office man IF there is truth to it.

If Bebe had still been on staff last summer he would've been my prime suspect

Just specualation, but its seems like the person would have to be somewhat important for them to want to cover it up and not just fire him

meh, they're just hating....I need ALOT more information than this shite before I think twice about this.

maybe, or maybe it was someone that Loomis, Payton, or even Benson just had a soft spot for.
Not exactly a better thing, but I would rather hear that then it was someone high on the staff stealing vicodin.

Sounds like an employee who either quit got fired or wanted a SB ring and was told no.

Santini said in the suit that he also discussed the incidents with both Saints Owner Tom Benson and NFL security and then resigned his position with the team.
"A former employee who resigned just before the 2009 regular season threatened to go public with these unfounded charges unless we agreed to pay him an exorbitant sum of money," said Bensel. "We refused, and now he has gone public. We will aggressively defend these false allegations in court."
Seems like we'd have heard something by now if the NFL was alerted a year ago. Also, if he's so concerned about not being a party to illegal activity, seems like he'd have turned them into the police months ago rather than suing them for money now.

First of all..Vicodin is not a narcotic. Second..this sounds like a in house investigation and nothing will come of it.

not to get all stupid....but Vicodin is most certainly a narcotic. It's nothing but acetaminophen and hydro.

This.
And good luck finding a prosecutor, judge or jury in La. who want anything to do with this.

Don't need any of those people to have this have an effect on the team. Just ask Big Ben.
Put aside the truth for a second and just think of Public Relations.
If this stays relatively quiet like Grant's manslaughter case, then no problem. However the idea of the GM of the defending Super Bowl Champions covering for a "coach"(cause that's how the media will probably spin it) stealing drugs from the team, might blow up in the media.
If the media runs with the story, Loomis might be in for some trouble with the Commish.

PR for the saints really hasn't had a great couple of months, have they?
