Another short bad outing

Getting hit in the leg prob shortend it but even with that he got torn up at the plate

So what's wrong with AR

I.think his arm may still be bothering him and could affecting his pitching

Thoughts

He's just trying to get back in the groove. Everything that was hit tonight was up or over the middle of the plate. When you don't throw for a month, it takes some time to get a feel for your release point back. I hope he figures it out soon.

His velocity isn't where it was last year and his fast balls look flat.....so essentially he's throwing what looks to be the equivalent of a beach ball to hitters.

cant throw his curveball for strikes consistently. throwing way too many fastballs and leaving them all in hitters sweet spots

As I said last week, he is the weakest "#1 starter" we have had in a VERY long time.

With his struggles this season does it drastically hurt his draft stock? Does it bring up the possibility that he returns for his senior season?

He doesn't have the command he had last year. Fastballs are eating up more plate instead of being painted on the corners, and isn't getting the good sharp breaking pitch over for a strike. Instead he has only been able to throw the big loopy one over and it is easy to recognize/hit. I'm sure part of it is due to the all the missed time.

Does Ott make his starting debut this weekend ?

I vote yes, with AR hurt and struggling.
