Its upscale...and its local. Great location by the Cotton Mill. Its opening soon is the word.

The Warehouse District is one or two things away from being by far the best neighborhood in the state....it is taking a big stride with this.

Within the last month, the Warehouse District has added:

Bouche: Wine bar between Emerils and A mano.
Capdeville: English Social House
Meson 923: restaurant with a chef with August and Emeril's pedigree.

20 stories of top notch apartments just opened at 930 Poydras.

The only thing the Warehouse District is missing is parking.

It never will be because it's in New Orleans.

If you're talking about that brand new highrise on the corner of Poydras & O'Keefe....I don't personally consider that the Warehouse District IMO.

A densely packed upscale apartment 20 stories high 2 blocks from Lafayette Square greatly effects the feel and quality of the WH District....to think otherwise is ridiculous.

I can never remember the name.

Ate at Butcher today...if there is a better casual place in the city, I can't think of it.

I like Rusty Nail a lot...they just added parking...much needed. They also added a really nice patio area. Big tv for games and lots of live music. Usually hot girls. Very large scotch selection as it is a scotch bar. Just switched to smoke free.

The Rusty Trumbone. Went a couple weekends ago. Nothing for parking but we lucked out as someone was leaving. They tow in that side lot.

The bartenders are cool and they seriously take care of you. Back patio is open and pretty big. 2 thumbs up.

lol, this just isn't true. at the rate they are going it will be done in about a year. there are two mexicans that work on that thing every day and that's it. they have concrete poured and the only wall is the wall on the north side, which looks like it needs to be demo'ed.

Correct. They said it was going to be opened last October, but they aren't even close. I guess if the OP lived in New Orleans he might see that.

A guy from Metairie claiming to be from New Orleans is like a guy from Denham Springs claiming to be from Baton Rouge.
