got me thinking last night with 3 of the first 4 picks. He had all that talent and went 8-5. Sounds to me like he can't develop talent.
Thoughts.

Just shows how important it is to have a good QB on the field.

At least Les won a National Championship with all of his talent.

I've always thought Stoops was a good coach, but I don't think it's completely unreasonable to compare him to CLM. He and Mack Brown are a hell of lot closer to Miles than they are to Saban or Meyer. Oklahoma would probably drop 4 games a year in the SEC.

Good coach with some flaws. At least Les typically wins the bowl game.

How dare you? There's only one....there's only ONE Les Miles:

No, but Miles wished he was the old Bob Stoops. Here is the tale of the tape:

Miles:
In 9 seasons as a head coach, he finished better than 5-3 in conference three times - the first three seasons after saban. Finished first in conference 2 of 9 seasons.

Stoops
In 11 seasons as head coach, all at OU, finished better than 5-3 in 9 of 11 seasons. 5-3 represents his worse in conference effort.
Finished first or tied for first in 7 of 11 seasons, inlcuding 3 of the last 4.

Dude, they lost their Heisman QB who threw for double the TDs and half the INTs of the QB that took his place, their 1st round TE, and played a schedule twice as tough as LSU's.

Yup, he's Les Miles all right.

Stoops has converted a three star quarterback out of high school into a Heisman Trophy winner and a no 1 pick in the NFL draft.

Miles took a highly touted 4 star QB, Jarrett Lee, out of high school and the rest is history....
