Steve Young sucked tonight constantly interupting and guessing the wrong guy at an extremely accurate %
However I took exception to this analysis of our existing CB's. Are Greer and Porter the best kept secrets on the Saints roster!
Greer and Porter were pretty damn lights out when they were in the lineup! In the playoffs they out performed Mr. Revis as well!

quote:
New Orleans Saints Patrick Robinson CB Florida State
What he brings: Robinson is physically gifted with all the tools -- good feet, quickness, and top-end speed. What concerns us is his inconsistency and his lack of natural instincts can get him into trouble at times. The situation with the Saints will allow him to develop over time; he has great upside and should develop into a starter. Video analysis: McShay | Edwards
How he fits: The Saints? cornerbacks were very productive in 2009 in terms of interceptions, but had somewhat of a revolving door at the position due to injuries. There isn?t a shutdown corner on the roster and Robinson will have a chance to earn that role. He will quickly become the nickel corner and should work his way into a starting role by Year 2. He falls into a good situation with experienced corners -- Jabari Greer, Tracy Porter, Randall Gay and Malcolm Jenkins -- around him.

Yeah, your right, Steve was really off last night. I usually enjoy those guys for pregame (Fox>espn>cbs) but they had no business being in Primetime. Bertman looked pissed and uncomfortable, they had awkward periods of silent, then Steve Young just took a hit of speed or something - usually intelligent guy saying all kinds of weird things and acting like some sort of defensive expert. Draft is awesome the the viewing experience this year was weak.
Would have preferred to watch it on nfl network but don't have it anymore after going directv to comcast.

The coverage and production last night was flat out horrible.
You all are right. Steve Young was hopped up on Valium, they didn't cut off the mikes when they would pan away from the panel, Bertman was trying to direct the show, Tom Jackson was talking over people. Kiper was looking all over the place and barely had any input. "Chuckie" Gruden was good but he did drop the "dumbass picks" line at one point.
Let's just move this thing back to Saturday and Sunday.

They completely blew the Tebow/Denver pick. They were actually debating on whose pick it was even though the video was clearly showing him putting a Denver hat on and hugging everyone. "But, wait, isn't it Baltimore's pick??" Embarassing

About 5 minutes in to watching the NFL Draft on ESPN, I suddenly realized... why the hell am I watching these clowns?
I remembered that the NFL Network was covering it as well. Change the channel, baby!
Isn't competition a wonderful thing? What a concept, huh?

That was awesome. We re-watched it 5 or 6 times because we couldn't stop laughing at him.
