Oh, I forgot about the great LC scout SFP. That opinion carries about as much weight as tits on a donkey.

He really didn't have the amazing, killed the Saints game you remember. He just got a lot of carries. 4.9 ypc isn't great for a defense but you act like he was Walter Payton.

He had 25/122/3 and was a idiotic Favre interception from the Super Bowl. I only had 1 post on AD, not sure how Touchdown Adrian Peterson makes it sound like I'm comparing him to Walter Payton. The run D was atrocious last year. Hopefully the rest of the draft concentrates on that obvious weakness. Still a ton of draft to go and I have faith in the FO to make the right moves.

I said CB depth was a need, but I wanted it addressed after filling the starting DT and OLB spots:

LINK

I like the pick. The more I see and read about him, I'm starting to love the pick. The dude has stud written all over him. 4.38 pro day? Wow.

SFP is misdirected in that he says we should have added another DE. That DE would have been futher down the depth chart than Robinson would have been at CB. Last year, Robinson would have started games due to injury to our starters. It was scary facing Brady with guys off the street, remember? That is, until the coin was tossed. Another DE will either be 3rd team behind Brown & McCray or 3rd team behind Smith & Wilkerson.

Pros:
-cover corner
-excellent run support
-4.38 to worst 4.5 speed
-will be 4th CB by mid-season over Gay (if Gay plays like last year)
-could be the 3rd CB if Jenkins is moved (could be the #1 CB some games if injuries to Greer & Porter happen at the same time again)
-Will definitely help when facing Vikes, Atlanta, Dallas, Cincy, etc
-keeping up with the blitz-friendly Jets who relies on their beastly secondary and bolstered it tonight

Cons:
-Starting DT & OLB are still open, and 4 DT's & 2 OLB's are already off the board with more to go in the 2nd rd before we pick

you dont think hes a little light in the arse to help shut down running games

one of his weakness is at the point of attack

He played in the middle in college. I think he would've been an upgrade.

I honestly was more surprised by the Robinson pick than if they would've taken Mays and put him at OLB.

I like him as well. But, that's a strange pick for a guy bitching about run D.
