Just for the hell of it, what was the average amount of tickets sold in 06 Final Four year. Doubt it was what it is at the Box.

I'm betting once we hit SEC play it was comparable or more.

you started talking about how few times LSU basketball was on TV and how many LSU baseball is when in reality, the number of times doesn't mean shite because when it comes to TV we are making just as much as Kentucky is in basketball and as much as Tennessee is in baseball.

There is a difference between money and exposure...Vanderbilt is making just as much money as Bama, LSU, and Florida in the football tv deal, but do you think anyone cares???

Exposure is the biggest factor.

Once you understand that, then you may have a shot at making your first valid point.

I don't know exactly, but I think they would have to have averaged atleast over 8000 tickets sold a game to exceed the Box, but hell, I don't know exact figures, I'll admit that.

bullshite...I went to every game that year and no one really came until people realized how good Thomas was and he wasn't even starting at the beginning of the season.

I just went through all of the attendance (actual when given at that) and it came out to ~9,300 for SEC play.

Yeah Soulja. you are right, 114 - 26 is incredible, especially in baseball where talent is really spread around, especially in the SEC, and in midweek games any team on any night can take you down cause our top starters never start, and teams we play often pitch some of their top guys midweek against us. But especially against SEC competition going 52 - 15 last 67 is just unbeleivable when you realize just how good the teams are we play week in and week out!

and yet the PMAC holds over 13,000? Think if the baseball team played the last 20 years in the capacity of the new Box, they would outdraw easily.

LSU is drawing that right now in baseball.

I'm pretty calm...I think you are just happy someone finally sided with you(a guy who gave no reason why he sided with you at that), fourth times a charm right?

cool bro. I've said that RIGHT NOW the baseball team is having more success in fricking everything but finances but you're too dim to see that

Do you think if the basketball team went back to back with NCs the baseball team would still outdraw?

Let's focus on solidifying a roster that can consistently win for more than one year before we talk about a championship, much less back-to-back.

you make me laugh. I bet you think LSU baseball is more profitable than the Hornets, Astros, and Rockafella.

Yeah dude John D. Rockefeller got nothing on LSU baseball. shite we should just disband the football program, baseball has been carrying them anyway.

#1.

fact of the matter baseball has been outdrawing basketball for years now.

False.

#2. You clearly don't understand on TV contracts work in college sports. Then when you realized you were wrong, you tried to talk about exposure. LSU basketball has more exposure to the nation than baseball does. You are blinded by the coverage it gets in Baton Rouge.

#3.
quote:

When did I ever say I didn't know how the tv deal works? I just insinuated that you thought the LSU basketball team had a TV deal all to it's own...you are making shite up now.

You didn't say you didn't know....your post indicated you didn't know. Elleshoe knows, and even pointed out as much, that the TV deal is split up evenly across all 12 schools whereas you tried to emphasize your illogical and uniformed view that LSU only got the pro-rate portoin of the deal based on national tv appearances during the season.

I'm not even involved in this debate yet your ridiculous basis for arguing (which is really just digging your own grave) is agitating to read.

Actually that's been proven true, scroll up a little bit

Like I said, we may make the same money as Kentucky in the TV deal but we don't get the exposure which equals one thing, MO MOMNEY!
It's comparable to Vanderbilt in football.

13 shares even. 1 for each school and 1 for the conference
