My pal Beaman, ever the optimist, says national champions.

My pal Greg, pessimist, says 6-6.

But both agree that LSU's challenges are the offensive line, defensive line, and wide receivers. Although Jefferson's spring game stats were not great, he had great numbers in 2009 and he has a fair chance of being the best in the SEC in 2010, if he can get a little blocking and even a little help from the running game.

So my realist prediction, 2 conferences losses (Florida and Bama) and 1 non-conference loss (West Virginia). If LSU can turn one of those SEC losses into a win, no easy task, then they will have a good chance of going to the SEC Championship. If they turn one of those wins into a loss, look for a lot of complaining from LSU fans.

I'll be surprised if Lsu doesn't mop the floor with Wvu. They are one of the worst tackling teams of last year. If u can stop devine they're done. RR's talent and hardness are slowing eroding from the mountaniers.

We'll drop one we aren't supposed to, could very well be Auburn. Don't think it'll be Ole Miss again this year.

We'll definitley be in the SEC Championship game with I'm guessing 1 loss, don't know to who. I also predict BOTH Ford and Ridley will rush for 1000 yards

SEC Championship game. We'll contend for the west. I don't see us losing to Fla either.

1 Loss team with Sugar Bowl on the line I guess.

I see possible losses from Arkansas (if they can muster a decent defense) and possibly Florida.

Our focus should solely be on getting a QB game ready and both lines up to par.

Losing to UT???? No way... They are so down it is the weakest team they will have in a while.

That's way to many points for our O to score being a realistic optimist. Our defense won't give up that many points as you have them giving up either. So in the end it will all even out even though I think we lose to Auburn (revenge is a bitch) and Arkansas. We finally win the big ones but lose the overlookable SEC games ala 2007.

Totally agree. UT doesn't return a single starter on the o-line, Crompton is gone, Hardesty & Brown are gone, Eric Berry is gone. This is a team in major transition. Here are my pics for the East.

UF
UGA
KY/USC
UT
Vandy

I hate to say it but I see 2010 being about the same as 2009.

I honestly think we go 10-2 or 11-1 regular season this year.

National Championship or Sugar Bowl

I'd be very happy with either

We will play for the SEC Championship in December at 11-1 w/ a NC birth on the line. The winner of the SEC will play for the NC this season (again).

Only if the West wins... East should be down slightly this year
