I'm not expecting an NC every year, but I believe Mainieri is a top notch coach and will have us sniffing Omaha yearly.

For a minute there I thought this was gonna be something football related...then I remembered that Saban doesn't coach here anymore.

51-13 is a 79.7% win %.

In our last 64 SEC football games, we are 45-19, 70.3% [2002-2009]

In SEC play under miles we are 27-13, 67.5%
In SEC play under saban we were 28-12, 70.0%.

in our last 64 games we are 50-14, all under miles (he's coached 66, went 1-1 in his first 2 games).

Saban actually coached exactly 64g at LSU, he was 48-16.

i thought it would be opposite, that actually scares me a lot considering the state the programs were in when each coach started

I couldn't help but smile when the announcer on ESPN3 talked about the record since last april.

Won last 12 regular season SEC games in 2008 (12-0)
Won four straight to win the 2008 SEC tournament (16-0)
Went 20-10 in SEC regular season in 2009 (36-10)
Lost 2009 SEC tournament opener, then won five straight to win the tournament (41-11)
Won two games vs. Arkansas in 2009 College World Series (43-11)
Went 8-2 in first 10 SEC regular season games in 2010 (51-13)

Pretty impressive.

I think I also heard the announcer on teh TV broadcast say that LSU had not lost an SEC series in 2 years. That is outstanding.

He lied. We lost the Tenn. series at home last year.
