I mean, as long as they keep winning I don't give too much of a shite, but that's pretty ridiculous. They're gonna blow off Jim Henderson?

Making the development even more intriguing is the fact that WWL-TV is a CBS affiliate, and Saints owner Tom Benson owns the local FOX affiliate.

thats what im wondering how thats gonna shake out for them... ive been watching the news and wwl has been trying to stir the shite for this so the saints FO is prolly just saying fine you keep doin this to us we'll show you

No, but the Bensons may hire him. Remember Benson bought a TV station in New Orleans last year (Fox network...channel 8). He never was a man who reacted well to competition...or criticism.

As long as Saints are winning, media will have little say so. When Saints lose, the negativity will come out the woodwork. WWL has been the flagship station of the Saints for years, and Jim Henderson has been calling Saints games for almost as long. Respect should be shown by both, but while the Saints are winning they call the shots.... at least for now

WWL also anounces the Saints games. They shouldn't have that. Tom Benson owns fox 8 news. Why does he need WWL for anything. I heard that WWL was not going to be announcing the games on the radio. I get tired of WWL radio promoting channel 4, when fox 8 should get the promotes. Screw WWL.

WWL's sports coverage is a x1000 better than Fox's. All three of their sports guys and Mike Hoss who used to do sports know more about the Saints than anybody at Fox combined. Half the time that idiot John Henry Smith(who's magically their sports director) doesn't know what he's talking about. He can't even pronouce Thibodaux properly.

I though her name was Rita (whatever) LeBlanc but she stuck Benson in there just so we knew she was an official member of the family.

WWL-TV and WWL radio are not the same, and are not owned by the same company.
It is confusing because Jim works for WWL -TV, but broadcasts on WWL-AM, but that is a separate contract he has with the Saints and WWL-AM.
This will only affect WWL-TV coverage of the Saints, has nothing at all to do with Henderson broadcasting games.
The Saints will also easy up on this because WWL-TV owns the local news market by miles.
