Perfectgame.org is pretty good for some info on propects that have participated in their events. What are you looking for?

I cover high school baseball in the area for a Web site, and have knowledge of some of the guys around BR and in the New Orleans area. Statewide I'm a bit more in the dark, though I hear a good bit of stuff through the grapevine.

So much freakin' baseball talent in this state it's ridiculous.

It's been like that for a while, which is great for the state especially LSU.

I love how one guy commenting on that site asks why there were so many Louisiana kids. Seriously?

Well, I finally got to see Aaron Nola pitch Saturday, and he looked shaky early but settled in well.

I would say he was touching near 90 on his fastball, and when he was located his slider it was dirty. Sitting right behind home plate you got a great view of the movement. Also buried in on some lefties and it was killer.

One guy LSU would be good to look at is Taylor Eads at Northshore. Kid absolutely mashes the ball. A big outfielder that has 10 homers and 32 RBIs in 53 at bats.

I like Chris Sciambra at Catholic as well, but have a feeling he will likely head to Tulane or somewhere else (interest also from Rice and USM). Good left-handed bat with a bit of pop, but not top end speed for a CF. LSU loves the speedy outfielders, but he does take good routes and makes up for it by being efficient.

Probably going to hit up the Zachary - Tioga DH this coming weekend. I know NOTHING about Tioga, but Joe Martin is a Southern Miss signee for Zachary, and supposedly they have a few others that could be potential D-I targets.

BraveTiger are you hearing anything about any kids from the tangipahoa parish area? I have a few in mind just want to see if any of their names have made it to you. Thanks

maxpreps.com has some info, but just checking a few of Louisiana schools, it doesn't look like any one is making the effort to post stats. Here's a link to a recent article and you can maneuver around the site from there.

I'm hearing he isn't getting much interest from anyone for some reason.

He's had interest, but I really have no idea what (if anything) he has in the way of formal offers. He's slugging over 1.100 this season, and he will strike out a good bit.

He's hitting .472 and has six homers in his last four games.

I'm baffled as to why he hasn't committed anywhere.

This one is a Mississippi Based site but they have some kids who are being recruited by LSU such as a JR Lefty from St. Stanislaus on the coast who throws 94.

ETA: the kid's name is Jacob Lindgrin says he really likes LSU
