Folk like Bradie James aren't just all over Louisiana
Posted on 3/14/10 at 4:45 pm to Rocket
bradie james was the last big time, elite HS linebacker that came to LSU and was a big time, elite college linebacker
i think our LB play will be better under coach chavis

LA doesn't produce 'em
I planted a crop of LB's last week but ground still wet from all that rain.

2008 - Ryan Baker (4* - #6 OLB)
2009 - Kevin Minter (4* - #17 ILB), Barvevious Mingo (4* - 9th OLB)
That's not too bad, plus Kelvin has panned out pretty well.

K. Sheppard may become the dominant linebacker folk desperately want.

Ali Highsmith is in the NFL. he started a few games for the Cardinals last year

Highsmith was good, but not Bradie James good.

Hasn't 'been' a weakness.

Kelvin Shepard, Jacob Cutera, Harry Coleman, Darry Beckwith, Ali Highsmith...
Will not be a weekness.
Signed,
Kevin Minter, Kyle Prater, Tahj Jones, Barkavious Mingo...

come on now
shepard is good and will be really good this year, cutrera was serviceable, beckwith got more hurt and less effective every year, and highsmith and coleman were good, not great
2009 was the first year in a while that we had really solid LB play

Because would be 5* LBers from La are either dead, in jail, or can't spell their name after high school.

I may be wrong but LB to me seems to be the one spot that not too many players receive 5*'s at.
