Where there is smoke there is fire, and there has been smoke since day 1 of Bates' commitment. It's not as simple as on NSD Ego commited and Bates got screwed.

No kidding. Ego (or anybody else) signing on NSD has nothing to do with the unsubstantiated rumor that Bates wasn't offered a full scholarship. And for the record, I've never said that I thought Bates got screwed by LSU.

There was smoke on day 1 because Big Fat said he spoke to a mystery coach at SPS. The volume of smoke increased as others repeated Big Fat's claims.
