Virgina Tech gets left out. Bet the house on that.

I wonder if the NCAA Selection Committee will just take 4 teams from the SEC just on principle, instead of 3 or 5. If so, MSU's victory definitely knocked UF out.

IF MSU and Minn win then there is only 1 bubble spot.

The SEC is going to have a weak showing overall in the tournament. State might win a game, but Tennessee and Vandy will lose extremely early. And Kentucky won't make the final four, which is the expectation this year for them.

Are you sure about that? Because they don't give more weight to the last 12 games anymore, and Florida has quality wins that State does not. I think they are in a dead heat, personally.

Mississippi State is too worn out to beat UK imo. It may come down to how competitive they are, which is kind of weird.

No, I'm just speculating. But Florida just lost to MSU yesterday. And MSU picked up a quality win over Vandy.

11-8 in the SEC > 9-8, even if MSU's RPI will be 3 or 4 spots lower.

Good point Keys, I also think the committee will look at both school's last 12 games. Mississippi State is 7-5 in there last 12 (assuming we lose tomorrow) and Florida is 5-7 in theirs including losing 4 of their last 5 games.

Best of luck to your Dookies tomorrow vs Ga Tech. I think this is one of the best Duke Teams since the 2006 JJ led Duke Team.

Florida and State get in I think. The SEC isn't that bad. It's 4th in conference RPI, ahead of the Big Ten.

Thanks. I think it's the best team since 2006, but they are not as reliant on any single player like that team was with Redick.

Just saying my opinion. Tennessee might go out in the first round against a 13.

There is 1 elite team: Kentucky
There is 1 very good team: Vanderbilt
There is 1 good team: Tennessee (Vanderbilt is a notch above, as evident by head to head and other factors).
There are 2 decent teams: MSU and Florida

i'll go with this....when i said 3 GOOD teams...i didn't mean 3 great teams...i meant three teams that are any good at all. tennessee got shite canned today though so they obviously aren't that good...i think state is playing some good ball right now...i think they are better than tennessee.

Yeah I agree at this very moment (which is not all that should be considered), MSU is better than Tennessee. I think Kentucky is the only SEC team that will make the Sweet 16, but obviously that's not going out on a limb. Depending on the matchups, I might say that they are the only team getting out the first round.

Yeah, State is better than the team that fricked their mom and didn't call her back in State's own house all of about a week ago.

Not even. One bad game doesn't mean we suck all of the sudden it's not like we didn't already beat Kentucky once.
