Jim

K vs K has lost a lot of relevance. When it came out divorce was a huge deal and not the norm.

Nowadays, 50% of marriages end in divorce so I think most younger people blow this movie off.

Is K v. K "long forgotten"?

I'm not very young (34), but I hardly ever think about this movie. I last remember seeing it on HBO back around 1985 or so.

frick Annie Hall. The second biggest shaft in Best Picture history. Saving Private Ryan is number one.

Oh excuse me, Hurt Locker beating Basterds is the real number one screw job of all time.

"How old are you?"

Probably older than you. Kramer was a very good film. However, here we are in 2010 and for many years, Apocalypse Now has been on numerous lists as one of the greatest films of all time. That is why I referred to Kramer v Kramer as long forgotten, in the context of where Apocalypse stands in cinema history.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind was way ahead of it's time. And it wasn't even nominated.

That's where I'll have to disagree, but most people would agree with you. I am the only person I know who didn't even like Saving Private Ryan. I keep saying I'll give it another chance, but that's hard to do with a movie you didn't like the first time. I really liked Shakespeare in Love.

Shawshank didn't win ANY Oscars... definitely the best movie never to win an Oscar. A travesty.
