I have no issue with him being in the bar. I think that these kids get cheated out of their college experience due to the demands of playing ball. That said, grabbing a beer and hanging out =/= putting a beatdown on some dude's face after you followed him out to his car, then acting an arse with what he had to know by this time are hair trigger cops. This ain't his first trip to Tigerland, he should have known better.

If it was anyone but a football player there would be no problem no discipline from the school.

I say work his arse so hard in practice that he does not want to be out at the bars for the rest of the year and forget about it.

Have you never been in an incident?

I could only imagine the heckling and ridicule this kid gets just for being him out in public... Unless he really is that retarded, which I dont think he is, I'm sure he was pushed to the limit by some idiot.

In the end tho, he put himself in the position and should deal with the consequences... Since this is Spring Practice... I say laps and extra activities will suit well.

um wrong. football players have always and will always be treated more favorably by the school then your average joe student.

You can't blame him, Les Miles has been preaching toughness so far this practice, he just needs to teach them to keep it on the field

Just a thought, but maybe charges have been filed against him. Hope not but likely could happen if the other party was to persue it.
