I think he's skeptical about it for whatever reason, he wants to think we can find another forward with Jozy so we can keep our midfield strong. When Davies is healthy, our attack is pretty impressive.

That makes sense, but it just seems like a stretch to think that Davies will be match-ready in June.

On reflection, I'm not quite as disappointed now as I was last night. It made sense to give Findley a shot starting on a big stage. If we see him again this rotation, then Bob really is clueless.

I'm just a soccer-watcher and only became a fan in the last few years, so this question might show my ignorance. Why don't we ever try something with 3 dedicated midfielders, Clint and Landon drifting back and forth, and then Jozy up top? Is 4-4-2 just set in stone or something?

Bob Bradley doesn't even pretend to be smart tactically. He has no idea how to play 3 "center" mids and 2 attacking mids.

Bob ball = long ball to Altidore/other target forward, whoever it might be...3 midfielders wouldn't make sense with this tactic; having 3 midfielders would be conducive to slow and steady build-up. Bob I guess doesn't think we can do this. He's more content playing passive and having us counter in this method.

Not that I agree with him, but we haven't shown the ability to be able to sustain a constant attack. However, he's never tried to implement a different lineup (such as 3 central midfielders), so who knows. I guess now really isn't the time to tinker. He should have done this during qualifying.
