I once saw Dale fart Beethoven's fifth during halftime.
He did it to motivate his team against athletes in Action one year.

Like him or not, that's an interesting dude. I might email the guy and see what's the deal on getting a copy of the dvd.

I was wondering about that too. I'd love to watch this.

"Looking for a helping hand? Look at the end of your damn arm!" Dale Brown.
We need him. We still need him.

I can assure you; that's not an original quote by Dale Brown. May be something he used but not his own quote.

Awesome! That's going to be great!
Man in the Glass poem (if you will) was written by someone else. Not bothering to look it up just now, but he gave a talk to a class I was in, back in my LSU days, and he ended the talk with Man in the Glass.
I have never forgotten that day.

I want to see that.
On a different note, why was Matthew McConaughey in it

Really doesn't matter at all, but it's a derivation of an Audrey Hepburn quote.

On Dale Brown's wiki it says he serves as an advisor to him.

I assume this is the poem referred to. I always enjoyed it--it's quite true.
The Man In The Glass
Anonymous
When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world makes you king for a day,
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself
And see what that man has to say.
For it isn’t your father or mother or wife
Whose judgment upon you must pass.
The fellow whose verdict counts most in your life
Is the one staring back from the glass.
You may be like Jack Horner and chisel a plum
And think you’re a wonderful guy.
But the man in the glass says you’re only a bum
If you can’t look him straight in the eye.
He’s the fellow to please-never mind all the rest,
For he’s with you clear to the end.
And you’ve passed your most dangerous, difficult test
If the man in the glass is your friend.
You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years
And get pats on the back as you pass.
But your final reward will be heartache and tears
If you’ve cheated the man in the glass.

He went to Dale Brown for advice about playing the coach in We Are Marshall.
I've seen some other footage on a screener DVD I think this is gonna be spectacular

I always wonder if the Dos Equis beer commercials were written by Dale about himself

I'm actually in the film. I am an actor and the production company asked me to do a scene. Coach Brown sent me an email thanking me...it was very, very thoughtful.

It said, coming summer of 2009?

Yeah...I'm not sure what that's about...I didn't shoot my scenes until the fall of 2009.
