Does anyone know anything about any of our 2010 signees?
We are moving from the option to a spread attack so we are kind of excited about football in Thibodaux.
Thanks

Nelson is a very good pickup.
I'll be interested in Scelfo.
I knew both those kids.

Nelson and Scelfo are two great local products who could play right away. They were receiving beasts at their high schools

Good family friend son.
Kid is smart and is a very good cover comer if a tad bit faster would have been a D-1 recruit. Good pick up for NSU.

Switzer is an excellent receiver. Did he get recruited by anyone?
Posted on 3/1/10 at 3:32 pm to Rockerbraves
no but he didnt really want to play either

Nelson runs a 4.6 40, 4.2-4.3 shuttle, with great hands, great route running skills and a 30" vertical leap. That is why he has been recruited, along with about 5 other receivers from that District, including Cutno, Davis and Briscoe from Central. He also easily got separation, as he showed big time against Acadiana in that great comeback. Switzer is a 4.75 guy, 4.5-4.6 in the shuttle, with a 24" vertical leap and real good hands, but fearless about going for balls....just a good tough High School player. Switzer didn't get much separation, but again, when the ball came his way, he was the only player at his school who would not slow down or alligator arm the ball, but try no matter what to catch it. Switzer is a D-III, maybe NAIA type guy, but received no interest from colleges...I would suspect Belhaven may ask about him. Nelson is a legit D-IAA (maybe D-II) guy, and Nichols needs receivers and he is a good fit...can play wide, tight or even at DB if necessary.

Andrew Dolan is a good friend of mine. Can kick a 45 yard field goal and plans on competing for a starting spot this fall.

Switzer ran a 4.6 40. Alex would out catch Nelson any day of the week. Great comeback? CHS only had like 100 total yards in tht game.
