No shite, we went Sunday night and it was like 27.99 for 5 lbs. I made the gf pay though. She's the one that really wanted to go and she didn't believe me when I told her they were really expensive right now.

Same here. I paid $5/lb boiled at Big Al's in Houma this weekend. The all you can eat deal is worth it if you can eat more than 5 pounds worth.

ETA: the cold weather has really driven the price up this year. Usually they are in the $3-$3.50 range boiled.

My deal is that I just wont eat them right now. I would rather eat myself sick on shrimp and crab for that price or get a pretty good steak.

Come to think of it, in my 32 years, I could count on one hand the number of times I have had AYCE seafood. I get that enough at home or friends' homes

I told my gf something similar, "I'd rather eat a steak from O'Charley's right now than go spend $80 for us to eat crawfish." Then she offered to pay.

Nice. It's nothing against that other place, I just won't pay over $25 to eat crawfish. If they're charging that much it's better to just do them at home, IMO.

Had to go last night for work meeting with out of towners. We got some to share - they were tiny, bland and cold.

That sucks to hear. I know Tommy's should add them to their seafood buffet on Fridays and Saturdays when the prices drop a little. I haven't had Boutin's crawfish in a few years but Tommy's is always pretty good.
