Baseball season starts today

It's a short list, but Mallet is #1. I think arguments could be made for Garcia, McElroy, and JJ at #2.

I'd say no, but not by much.
I'd rank him 3rd behing Mallet and McElroy.
He has more upside than McElroy IMO but needs to produce when the heat is on to pass him up in my view.

Florida fans say Brantley is number 3

He may be, but he's going to have to prove it as a full-time starter. He did have an impressive 194.88 passer rating for 2009, 36-48 (0 interceptions), and threw 7 touchdowns.
He's another in the seemingly endless stream of great players from the state of Florida.

According to some on the rant he isnt top 2 on the team and is god awful

I'm not a Florida fan. BTW it's possible Brantley will be #1 a year from now.

I think Brantley will suck arse next year.
They have no established receivers.
Lost a couple of good linemen.
Defense won't be as good, so they will need to score more.

seriously what did JJ do this past season to prove he is #2 in SEC? He made no improvements from game 1 to the last game. Dumb to even consider him a top qb in the SEC until he proves something

Your biased opinion aside, look at the numbers

Put up numbers equal to or better than Matt Flynn.

haha sorry I analyze games by actually watching them, not just the numbers. Remember Aaron Brooks for the Saints, go check out his numbers. Then look at their record. GTFO with the numbers b.s. Flynn won a championship in his ONLY year starting. JJ beat Auburn.

Stupid analysis. Aaron Brooks averaged over 30 pts. per game while at QB. It was the Saints defense that caused the W/L record to suck.

Numbers lie...but if you must look at a number, look at the offense as a whole. It says more about his abilities as a QB than the numbers associated with plays that are called based on his limitations as a QB.
Hopefully, the offense is able to flow next season through his growth as a QB and better execusion from his supporting cast (coaches and players). Until then, there is no way I see JJ as a top tier QB in any conference.
