Let's at least try to be more imaginative besides the Insert person's name Biopic.

I'm not really into Oscar bait. I'd rather create a twisted and perverse exploitation film.

Hot action star Tom Riggs is cast in the lead role for Asian shock director Tamachi Miguchi's latest war movie. Miguchi is a crazed billionaire who owns his own island in the Pacific and is famous for extremely graphic movies that almost seem too realistic. Upon arriving on the island to start principle photography, Riggs notices that the death scenes are actually real and winds up on the run in the jungle. He is eventually captured, brainwashed, and forced to star in the gore epic.

Fill in the blanks. Yea, maybe lame but I try.

btw, who would direct this surefire Oscar contender?

I got one.

So an astronaut and his crew are flying through space in a deep state of hiberation. They awaken to a horrible crash landing on a strange new planet. This is a planet they have never seen before. Then they encounter the residents of this planet, but the thing about these residents is that their walking talking apes and humans are their slaves. The lead astronaut begins his struggle to escape this planet and even finds an intriguing woman companion on this planet occupied by apes. In the end the astronaut discovering the shocking truth about this planet. The planet was actually earth all along. He had traveled into the future through space arriving in the future to his very own planet now ruled by apes.

I call it..World of the Primates.

Opening scene: Harrah's Casino New Orleans. Camera pans the games to eventually focus on a man stumbling through, greatly disheveled. Camera shot moves to within his eyes, swaying, swaying, until it turns sideways and falls to the ground, fade to black.

The events leading up to that moment begin after the fade. And there you have the opening to The Hangover 2: The Big Easy.
OR you just go from there and explore how fricked up this guy's life is with witty dialogue and the like.

I have always thought No Second Chance would make a great adaptation as a movie.

Always had this idea:

Guy that has become a top tier lawyer in the big city is brought back to his small town home to defend someone he went to high school with. The guy he is defending was the bully of the school and always beat him up. He is doing this because his current boss asked him to do it, because the guy is related to him in some way. Brings back all kinds of bad memories, and has to investigate the true reason for the murder, which uncovers many secrets he didn't want to know.

Just off the top of my head

Title: Your Ex-Lover Is Dead

Epigraph on screen before movie starts: "When there's nothing left to burn, you have to set yourself on fire."

[scene begins with a stubbled, groggy looking man glaring out the corner of his eye at a woman . they are both in a cab driving over Pont Champlain, Montreal on a rainy day.]

[narrator/man]: god, that was strange to see you again

[flashback of the same man and woman meeting, introduced by a friend of a friend. both appear young, effervescent.]

[man is now looking out the window, woman turns and begins vaguely recollecting the features she recognizes on the man. she thinks he's in a state of deep sadness, but really he's just trying to remember her name]

that's all i've got. it's a love lost story with a theme and orchestral coda by the Canadian band Stars
