new construction at the box

saw it the other day but didnt have time to get a good look. some sort of big ring at the time. what is it?

They are putting the flags in a ring out in the front instead of behind the outfield.

i dont think it was a batters eye. it looked like it was being built into the ground and this was in the front of the stadium (behind home plate)

do you know why they are doing this? it would seem nice maybe during the offseason when you arent in the stadium and just passing by, but i think they would be nice flying around in the stadium too. maybe they figure they have enough with the intimidator...

they need to get rid of the old box now. that place looks like crap. maybe they should put a new indoor track there

We can remodel the indoor track we have.
There will be parking there for a while once they tear it down until they can decide what to do with it.

i have gotten past the sadness of seeing the old box go, but at the same time i hate having an empty parking lot or a giant mountain of concrete where it was. mostly because i always thought it was amazing to drive through the northgate on nicholson and look to your left and see death valley and to your right and see the box, the homes of some of the best college programs in the country. if they do decide to put in a parking garage or even just an empty parking lot, i could only hope that they dont make it a giant concrete square. at the least a lsu sports themed murial to halfway cover it up would be nice

they wont get this done in time....i just drove by last night and its not even close to being done...it looked like they just started
