I'm sure they do, but anyone who thinks the websites should act as spin machines and not used for actual discussion is a jackass as well.

at the end of the day the fan's opinions don't have as huge of an impact as some want to believe. Can it effect them? Do they base their choice off of it? Doubtful. These kids will go to the school that best fits them, not the one that has the happiest message board fans.

Ha, be funny if the Admins or even us members could vote on posts that are overly negative, especially about the players.

Then once you accumulated enough votes for being negative, you could have "Dummy" or "Ignore my posts, they are ridiculous" posted by your name.

I'll admit, I did my share of Crowton bashing after the season, but I am once again optimistic about our crazy good talent and our upcoming season.

Yes, and a lot of the folks on this board deny that. Ctitical discussion yes, but the bashing of high school kids is sickening. They hurt LSU.

Really? Well who told you this exactly? A recruit? Parent?
Well let me share something with you. WRONG!
I have not spoke to a recruit yet that has brushed this topic off as if it were irrelevant. In fact the same could be said for the parents. I was actually told no for an interview before because they didn't want to subject their CHILD to the unfair scrutiny.

Call it as you see it but if you DON'T KNOW than you DON'T KNOW. Easy enough.

There is no way to "filter" out the negativity or criticism from this site. You can reason until you are blue in the face (many have) and it will still continue. At the end of the day you are only responsible for your own actions.

It's my opinion that we are fighting a losing battle tying to contain or eradicate negative posts. The question we should be asking is: "How do we give positive reinforcement to recruits and their families in support of our school despite the negativity."

Maybe we need a disclaimer?

Warning: The views expressed in this forum are not necessarily those of TD and in no way are they representative of any perceived connection to LSU, it's athletic department, athletic teams, coaches, faculty, or administration. Read at your own risk, because Tards with keyboards are dangerous.

What I'm saying is maybe we should announce our collective intention, and give these "kids" a basis for which to interpret what they read here.
