Idea for Mr. Benson re: Extending Drew Brees

Start paying Drew in shares of Saints stock or ownership of the company.
So by the time he dies and Drew retires.... Drew can be like a 25% owner (6 yrs at 20 million) and Rita can run things with a guy like Drew Brees along her side.
Win for Drew, Win for the City.

I'm sure Drew would be all over that. That works out to over 30 million a year, assuming the Saints are worth in the area of 800 million dollars.
However, I think they can get him for a lot cheaper.
Besides, what if they do that and Drew still wants to play after that contract is over?

It would be a lifetime type contract, we would have his nuts in a saints jar for however long we want... I was throwing some rough numbers out there....

I'm pretty sure that the CBA does not allow players to have an ownership stake in a team while active.
