wrong board, but I thought that movie blew. Funny, the movies that the critics like, I think suck. Also rented "A Serious Man" recently - highly praised by the critics but we turned it off after about 15 minutes, blew dog. Finally, rented "The Time Traveler's Wife" last night ... ugh, someone give me a gun

Tiem traveller's Wife was hardly critically acclaimed. It was roundly panned.

And A Serious Man was outstanding, but it was very Jewish.

I am very comfortable in my sexuality, but i did not like this movie. I say 2.5/4 stars. The directing and wardrobe were superb, but the story wasnt all there for me. I never once felt attached to the lover of the main character. They expected the audience to feel the pain of the loss right away, without devolping his character. So other than it never getting me emotionally atttached, the film was decent.

Are you thinking of A Single Man? I haven't seen it, but I know it was about a gay man.

You have to look beyond the star rating and understand why they liked the movie. And as Roger Ebert once said, "Good movies are not for everybody. Bad movies are for everybody."
